Introduction to Project Management
In this course, we introduce the best-practice principles of project management in the context of the project lifecycle: from initiation through planning, delivery and close.
These domains of project knowledge and application are consistent with the proven theories of PRINCE2 and PMBOK; industry specific methodologies such as Agile; as well as other well known project management frameworks and guidelines.
What will I learn?
This flexible workshop program integrates, in the context of hypothetical and real world scenarios, the following project knowledge areas:
- Project scope management
- Project time management
- Project cost management
- Project quality management
- Project human resource management
- Project stakeholder management
- Project communication management
- Project risk management
- Project procurement management
- Project change management
What are the benefits?
This workshop is highly interactive, and our semi-structured approach is dynamically responsive to the experience, needs and operating environment of the participants.
Participants are therefore encouraged to share complex, ‘real life’ examples from their professional experience that can be resolved using the best-practice principles of project management.
In contextualising this course, we are also happy to share our proprietary templates and learning materials, or we can assist participants to identify the most appropriate corporate assets and tools to use, and how to use them well.
Over one, two, three or five days, the interactive workshop does not so much create over-achieving project managers; rather it introduces a common frame of reference, common purpose and common sense approach to the integrated delivery and oversight of business projects.
